Not quite crafty enough

Shopping yesterday was fun.  Candice joined us, too, and we were quite successful in purchasing what was needed for the bridal shower next weekend.  Of course, we also had to browse the infant section and oooohhhhh and aaaahhhhh at all of the cute little boy outfits.  Great-grandma picked up a couple of items for the little guy.  It will be time to do some serious baby shower planning before too long!

We also got to see the baby's room, the new crib and dresser.  And the awesome rocking chair that Candice's folks gave to her for Christmas.  It looks like Classic Winnie the Pooh is going to be the theme for this fella.  Candice saved several, large Winnie the Pooh characters that she had gotten as a child.  They are in almost perfect condition.... and are all ready and waiting for Jr.!!  : )  Great Aunt Julie is going to be put to work designing and painting some fun stuff for a wall in baby room.  She's gonna be a busy woman when she comes out this way for Amy's wedding!

I've tried to get a lot of sewing done this weekend.  What I've actually gotten done is a lot of sorting.  Not that that is a bad thing!  But I have less than 2 weeks to get ready for a craft show.  And I am NOT ready!!!  So, what am I doing here, typing to y'all, when I should be upstairs sewing?  I'm taking a break!  I have been upstairs sewing.  I also stayed up late last night, sorting and cutting and sewing.  Late enough that, after taking the dogs out around 7:00 this morning, I fell back to sleep in my comfy chair.  And the critters all let me sleep.  Sigh.  I should not have slept most of the morning away!  But, what is done is done.  I'll finish up my little break here, sew some more, go get the boys, and we'll get to confirmation at church tonight.  I still have two full days off!  My sewing machine may still get a heck of a workout!  I can only hope so.

So, as much as I'd love to just stay snuggled up all warm here in my chair, I guess I'd best get up and moving and attempt to get crafty again!  Hope you are enjoying a warm snuggly type of day, no matter what you are doing!

Psalms 28:6-7 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
