The effects of late day iced tea.

I'm tired.  It's my own darn fault.  Well, with some help from the darn dogs.  (I'm reminding myself that it's a good thing that I love my dogs!)   I drank tea at confirmation at church last night.  Late afternoon, actually.  But, I'm not used to drinking that much caffeine that late in the day.  I paid for it.  I went to bed.  I tried to sleep.  Really I did.  I tossed.  I turned.  But sleeping was a long, long time coming.

And then, those dogs.  Those dogs.  My day off.  Awake way too late last night.  And the dogs woke me up at 6 a.m.  Sigh.  No going back to sleep for me this morning.  I stayed up.  Wide awake.  (kind of)

I washed dishes.  Lots of them.  I did laundry.  A lot of that, too.  I threw things away.  I swept floors.  I took out trash and got recyclables ready pick up tomorrow.  I spent well over 2 hours, yes 2 hours, at WalMart and HyVee.  I ran into several people who I hadn't seen in a while and chatted in the aisles.  I got some nifty baby ideas.  (Big smile!)  I got groceries and some clothes for Jordan  (who may never stop growing!).  (I also think that someone could earn some darn good money by going to people's homes and carrying in and putting away their groceries for them!)   I went with Mom to the jewelry  store to pick up the confirmation gifts to be given out on Palm Sunday.  We also got another gift that we needed while we were there.

It may not sound like a day so filled with activity and energy expenditure that I should be this tired.  But I am.   Between the late day iced tea and the dogs and my own doings, I'm wiped out tired tonight.

There are no Swamp People on tv tonight.  No one will be Looking for Bigfoot.  The Ghost Hunters are on hiatus.  Billy won't be exterminating anything tonight.  (Get the drift of my tv watching experiences?!)  I would like to say that I will be climbing into bed early tonight, snuggling with the critters and drifting off to dreamland.  I'm hoping that will be the case.  However, there is still laundry tumbling around in the other room.  Supper is still cooking in the oven.  There are oodles of things waiting on me and my sewing machine to stitch them up.  I'm hoping that the pillows in my bed manage to call to me louder than the above mentioned items, but I'm not really counting on it.

No iced tea for me tonight, tho.  When I hit the hay, I expect to sleep tonight!  I've got another day off tomorrow and loads of exciting things planned for then, too!  : )  Just wait until you hear what all gets done then!

    Lifting up prayers right now!
