Baby Blue

The big news around here is that Eric and Candice found out this week that they are having a boy!  We knew that they were finding out, but we were told that no one else would be told until Eric got back from playing with trains in Wyoming.  That wouldn't be until at least the end of this month.  Instead, Eric called me while I was at work on Thurs. and blurted right out that it was a boy!  He couldn't keep it a secret!  : )  We are all pretty excited.  Baby furniture is being delivered to baby boy's newly finished room today.  July  just can't get here soon enough for that we can all meet the little guy!  Whooo-hooo!

This weekend, I'm home alone.  As alone as I can be with 2 cats and 2 dogs in the house.  I really need to work on training those dogs to realize that, even tho I do usually get up early, there are times when even I would like to enjoy sleeping late.  Sigh.   However, their internal workings can only last so long, which means that I have to get up out of my warm, snuggly bed, where the cats are purring and keeping me warm, and take the doggies out into the brisk, morning coldness.  It's a darn good thing that I love my doggies!  I didn't even go back to bed this morning.  And the cats followed me downstairs and decided that they chair was almost as good of a place to snuggle as the bed was!

My boss is on vacation, so I am the proud owner of a 4 day weekend.  I have more than enough to keep me busy!  Knowing that there is a baby boy on the way, means that all of the generic baby things that I've been making can now be sold at the craft show coming up, and I can focus on making boy-specific things.  With camouflage for Eric!  : )

This afternoon we have a bit of a shopping trip planned.  It's hard to believe, but Amy's bridal shower is next week already!  Good grief!  Things are happening so quickly!  It's so much fun!  : )
Mom and I are meeting Amber in Burlington later on.  Have to get those shower gifts purchased today!  And, there is a Hobby Lobby in Burlington, too!  Just sayin'!

I've got sewing to do.  Cleaning to do.  Laundry to do.  Pet snuggling to participate in.  Shopping to enjoy.  A four day weekend to "struggle" through.  Ahhhhhh.......  Life is Good!

Continuing to pray so very hard!
Psalms 28:1-2 Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
