Last night was awesome!!!! Last night was a shot of Fall in the middle of spring storms and the end of the school year. Let me tell you all about it!

Last night I went up to my room, lay on the floor, and put my feet up on the futon. Hey, I'm comfortable that way. I started doing that with some one of the children and it is still something that I do on occasion. I lit a candle in the bedroom, covered up with the most comfortable blanket in the world (thank you Mom) and had my guardians, Buddy and Taltos by my side. I turned on the teeny, tiny 19 inch tv up there and started flipping channels. Not the greatest of views to watch tv from.... laying on the floor with your feet up on the futon.... but that's how I roll sometimes.

As I'm flipping channels I find a rerun of the 2003 Iowa/Michigan football game. Homecoming for Iowa 2003. One of the Big Ten's greatest games showing on the Big Ten channel. Since I don't remember individual games all that well... well all know about my poor, poor memory!... I decided to watch, at least for a while, to see how things went.

Pretty soon, Jordan is in the room with me, lying on the bed, watching the game. And, Of course, I yell. I always yell at football. Especially Iowa Football. I yell when it's good. I yell when it's bad. I admit it... I'm a Football yeller.

So, I'm yelling at the tv. Jordan on the bed. Critters scared out of the room by me yelling. And Bruce comes running upstairs to see what is wrong. I was yellling after all. He just shook his head and went back downstairs when he found out that I was yelling at a rerun of a football game, like it was LIVE~!

Next, Jonah came in. He got down on the floor with me, under the world's most comfortable blanket. And he gave me a whole lot of grief about yelling at a rerun of an Iowa game from 8 years ago. But, pretty soon the boys are yelling at the game with me too! We are yelling at touchdowns and field goals, interceptions and fumbles. Good plays and bad plays. We seem to be a football yelling family.

We watched the entire game. All of it. We watched Iowa beat Michigan at the Iowa Homecoming game of 2003 and we lived it like it was LIVE. Laying on the floor, yelling at the tv, snuggling with kids and critters and the world's most comfortable blanket. Yep, that's pretty much how I roll.

  1. That's so funny! Glad you had so much fun! I take it things are going well!
Stopping by to let you know I'm here praying!
Psalms 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
