Grillin and Chillin...

Spring is truly making great strides here in the river hills of the Mississippi. Lawn mowers are being put back into use, the smell of grilling foods waft on the breeze, and, of course, there are severe storm watches to keep an eye on. But, those are for later. Right now it is 84 degrees outside, sunny and breezy. It's a day for kickin back and enjoying the heat, and starting the grillin and chillin season off in the right way!

It is nearly impossible to start of the warm season with boys in the house, and boys in the neighborhood, without some vitally important tools of the season. Ball gloves and water pistols and, at least at our house, a nerf dart clip for a nerf gun!

Some good old stand by games were pulled out of Grandma's shed.

The wind today didn't much let us enjoy this one,

but the time will come!

You sure can't be grillin and chillin unless you are truly enjoying the great outdoors! Iced tea and bread on the table on the patio.

Jamacian jerk seasoned pork cutlets fresh off the grill!

Even summer's stand by, corn on the cob, made it's first appearance .....

And boy, was it ever yummy!!!!!

An awesome day of grillin and chillin and hangin out in the warm spring sunshine. Who knows what the weather will hold for us for later tonight. Storms are also a part of Spring in the river hills. The rain will come and the winds will blow, and when it's done, we'll be chillin and grillin and livin life along the Mississippi, enjoying the world and it's wonders.

Psalms 46:1-5 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Psalms 94:17-19, 22 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul...But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
