That is the paper that came with my necklace. It describes each large piece and explains what it stands for. All of the purple stones are amethyst, which is my birth stone. The two dark stones, on the left side in the above picture, are garnets, as both Amber and Amy have garnets for their birthstones. The stone in the middle of the garnets is an aquamarine, Eric's birthstone. The smaller, round stone at the bottom, is a stone with opal in it, as opal is Jonah's birthstone. The next stone up, on the right side, is a moonstone, Jordan's birthstone.
This type of necklace is what Erika, the designer, calls a Story Necklace, as it tells a story in the stones and design of the piece. I absolutely love it!!!! It suits me exactly and will be a piece that can be handed down for generations to come. The craftsmanship done on my necklace is flawless, thoughtful, and perfect! I couldn't have done any better designing it myself. : )
(I also want to add right here and now that my pictures do NOT do this necklace justice. The colors are very vibrant and the silver is glorious. I would love to show you the piece in person, if anyone wants to see it! And, if anyone out there wants a family heirloom of this type made, let me know and I'll let you know how to get ahold of Erika!!)
The clasp is amethyst. There are different types of silver chair linking all of the major stones and story telling points.
The Opal stone.
The aquamarine, with the garnets on either side (Eric was born in between Amber and Amy, too.). The aquamarine spins inside of it's setting.
The silver piece has hearts cut out of it and has Erika's name etched on the side of it.
The flowery piece above represents daily living. The moonstone is
below it. The moonstone has different setting types on each side of the
design.
The other side of the moonstone.
The complete necklace, along with the amethyst earrings that my mom had made for me to go along with it!
The earrings.
I had a wonderfully amazing birthday! My necklace, and the earrings, are awesome beyond anything that I could have expected! I am one very blessed and happy 50 year old lady!!!!
Oh Dawn! It's so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an amazing gift!

Psalms 91:1-2, 4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

ReplyDeletePsalms 91:11-12, 14-15 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. (14-15) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

ReplyDeletePsalms 121:1-4 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

ReplyDelete2 Corinthians 4:16-18 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

ReplyDeleteIsaiah 53:4-6 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

ReplyDeleteIsaiah 53:7-10: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

ReplyDeleteIsaiah 53:11-12 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
