The mail box to put cards in at the reception.
I am still in awe of the weekend that was.  I am in awe of my children, who are beautiful, wonderful, caring, loving, fun-loving, happy people.  I am in awe of my mom, who stands strong through all that we ask of her, and is right there doing the Cupid Shuffle on the dance floor with us all!  I am in awe of my extended family, who, by simply showing up, over and over again, help to make weekends like this a memory that I will cherish forever.   I am in awe of friends who never miss a beat.  Of another wedding in our family that was fun and happy and joyful and beautiful and perfect for the people who the celebration was for.  I am in awe of all of the people who got us all through the weekend, for every little, or large, task that they completed to help to make things run smoothly.  I am in awe of the weekend that was.

And, with me still being awestruck, among other things, at the amount of pictures that even I managed to take.  (544 pictures and 5 videos on my camera!) it is going to be a while before I manage to get all of them sorted through and posted and given the time that they deserve.

So, I'm going to do this post all about the decorations.  And, let me tell you, the decorations rocked!!!  Oh yeah!!!  Amy had a vision about what to do with all of those wine bottles and wine glasses and everything and it was amazing!  Amazing!!!  It only got better as the night went on, and the candles shimmered brighter and danced shadows around us all.  Amazing.

Pictures of Chris and Amy hanging at the guestbook/gift table.

The head table.

Painted wine bottles, wine glasses holding candles.

The dance floor, in the tent, surrounded by grass, with the head table in the background.

Decorations on the head table. The bouquet for throwing in the tallest bottle.

Green and purple lanterns over the dance floor.

You can see the cloudy skies, with the tent open, but the rain was gentle and there was no wind.  It was wonderful.

As things are winding down...... empty chairs.

At the end of the night.

I have so many more pictures to share!  Check back soon for the next installment!  : )

    Still praying in Seattle!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

  3. Praying!
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

  4. Life can be overwhelming at times, but the victory is ours through Christ! Put your trust in Him! Praying!
1 Corinthians 15:54-57 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  5. Continuing to lift up prayers!
Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

  6. Praying right now!
Psalms 43:2-5 Thou art the God of my strength . . . O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

  7. Know that I'm here praying!
Psalms 94:17-19, 22 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul...But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
