Bridal Shower

This is the uber, super, dooper, deliciously yummy cake that was devoured at Amy's bridal shower yesterday.  Raspberry, white chocolate.  Goodness, but that was some gooood cake!

Amber's living room, all decorated and ready for the shower to begin.  It was a morning shower, so the food was breakfast food.  And cake.  It was a wonderful shower!!

Amy and Granny June swapping stories.

Social time before the shower began.
Candice  (my Grandson is starting to show pretty good!), Amber, and Lori in Amber's kitchen with a whole array of goodies.

 Candice and Granny June.

Amy, with her co-maids of honor, checking out gifts.

Do Amy's friends know what she "needs", or what!?  Nothing like a bag of SweetTart Gummy Bunnies to put a smile on a girl's face!
Along with the Gummy Bunnies, and all of the dishes and kitchen ware and house wares, there was a poker game.  Whooo-hoooo!   Yep, Amy's friends know Amy!

The soon to be bride, with her bouquet of ribbons from all of her gifts.

The shower was an awesome event.  Thank you to those of you who put it on!  And thanks to Amber for the use of her house.  You all did great!

The wedding will be upon us before we know it, I'm sure.   There is still lots to do and many memories to make before we get there, but get there we will.  With the help of family, good friends, Gummy Bunnies and the occasional poker game!  Best Wishes Amy!!!!

  1. Looks like another successful party! You do know how to throw them!
Know that I'm continuing to pray!
Psalms 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

  2. Paul's sentences can be really long at times...didn't want to split this one up. Know that I'm here praying!
Ephesians 3:14-21 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

  3. These verses contain the reason why we have the hope of life to come. Praying!!!!
Ephesians 1:17-20 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places...

  4. Know that I'm always here praying!
Romans 8:35, 37-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  5. The Lord will always be there to get you through whatever you have to face. Praying!
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
