First Picture
Isn't that the most beautiful picture you've ever seen???? That folks, is my grandchild. Candice said that the little bug was dancing and throwing it's arms around during the ultrasound yesterday. July 20th sure seems like a long ways away, a long ways to wait to hold that little baby. But it will be so well worth the wait! There is so much to do! A bedding set needs to be made for the cradle that my grandpa made. Eric was the first baby to sleep in that cradle, so I think that it's fitting that his child will be the first of it's generation to sleep in it. My new sewing machine is going to get a work out trying new things between now and July. Thankfully, babies don't much care how perfectly things are made! I figure that as long as I make things soft and warm and comfy, a few mistakes here and there won't matter a whole lot.
And then, well, I do have 5 children. I'm hoping for many more grandchildren to be posting pictures of and making things for. (I need to say here that I am a Grandma already. To those wonderful kids up north. It hurts Bruce and I both to not be able to see them. I just hope that some day they all realize how much we love and miss them all. I do not mean to ignore them here, but they are a part of a whole different story at this time.)
And, just think, by this time next year, I'll have a new member of the family to teach how to cheer/yell at the tv during Iowa and other football games! I'll have a new little sweetie to cuddle with in the recliner. There will be a new member of our family to share in our joy, relish our wackiness, renew us with the innocence of a child. There will be new aunts and uncles. New Grandparents. New Great-grandparents! So much joy, so much love. Thank you God, for the miracle of this child, and for the many more who will follow this one. We are blessed.

I'm just so excited for you! I know how long away it sounds...been there 6 times already and now one of them is 7, two are 3 (almost 4), 1's almost 2 and 2 are 19 months. Seemed like it took each of them forever to get here! But they all finally made it!

Isaiah 41:10, 13 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (13) For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Revelation 3:11-13 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name...

ReplyDeletePsalm 91:1-2, 4: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust...He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
