It's been a lazy kind of week here. Monday, both boys were home with sore throats and temps. I stayed home from work with them on Monday. Both Amber and Amy were down to celebrate their birthdays, too. Fortunately, the girls could hang out at Grandma's house, the boys could stay home, and I could go back and forth between the two places. However, I did miss the cake cutting later that night. By that time, my throat was hurting like heck and I was not feeling well at all. I went to bed early!
Tues, the boys were still sick and I still felt not well, but I went to work anyway. I left work as soon as we were done with patients in the morning and came home and slept most of the afternoon.
Wed. I didn't have to go to work. Our computers at work were down for the count and it was a slow day there anyway. Since we didn't know how I would be feeling on Wed. morning, they just let me stay home. I didn't feel the best, but I sure felt better than I had been feeling. Both boys were in school and it was a nice, sunny, warm day!
Today, I felt better. Woke up to snow and wind and cold, cold, cold! Boys went off to school. I went off to work.
Ok..... stop right here. I sure did! Not quite sure why, but as I was working on this last night it all went away. Today, it's all back, waiting for me to finish up. I'm not sure I'm ever going to totally understand technology, but I'm happy I can re-start in the middle and not at the beginning! : )
Anyhoooooo..... Yesterday (which was "today" when I started this post) we got snow. Several inches and nasty cold, cold weather! Darn it!
Now, to clarify, it's Friday. I worked this morning. The boys went to school and finished up the semester here. (They now get a 4 day weekend). Bruce did not work today. He got off early yesterday because of the weather and no work today for the same reason.
So, Bruce. Tomorrow Bruce heads back to Pennsylvania to work. It's one of those deals that is almost too good to pass up. The last time that he went out there to work, it was bad. We didn't plan his going and we weren't prepared for all that went on while he was gone. It was plain bad. This time, hopefully, we have a plan and things in place that will allow this to be a good experience for us all. Bruce just is not a stay at home guy. He's a trucker, a nomad... he is who is he. He's going to go be a nomadic trucker and I'm going to stay here and enjoy life in Keokuk with my friends and family. He will come back on a regular basis and we will go out there to visit, too. : ) Pray that he has good traveling weather this weekend to get to PA!!!
Ok, I'm going to finish this before it finishes itself and I don't get it all back! Hopefully you are all warm and happy and healthy and enjoying life to the fullest! Thanks for stopping by!
Sorry you got sick!
ReplyDeleteI think this time that Bruce is gone is going to be different because you're there with family and have so much support!
Praying!
Hebrews 6:17-20 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
