We take our croquet seriously around here. I've been playing croquet as far back as I can remember. My kids have always played, because Grandma has always had a set handy. Now that we live right beside Granny, there is a croquet set available most any time. We all gathered for a Memorial Day cookout and had to have a croquet game too.
Dustin was really serious about the grass being too long for a good croquet game. He just couldn't see us having a good game in those grass conditions!
So, he got out the mower....
And he mowed.......
And he mowed.......
He mowed until he had a mown course all nicely trimmed up and ready for a game. The course went from our yard over and into Granny's yard. I've tried to draw lines where Dustin mowed. It was kind of like a golf course. We had the short grass and the taller, rough grass. It was awesome!!!
The stakes and the hoops were set back up and the game was back on!
Thanks to Granny we had an awesome few games of croquet! And thanks to Dustin, we had a nice course to play it on! : )
What a tremendous comfort we have in the wounds of Jesus! Praying!
ReplyDeleteIsaiah 49:13-16a Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands...

ReplyDeleteIsaiah 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

ReplyDeletePsalms 4:1, 3 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. (3) But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

ReplyDeletePsalms 4:7-8 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

ReplyDeleteRomans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
