Fine Dining

This is what I came "home" to after working all day today. Both my girls were at my mom's (across the way) and they were cooking supper. Kabobs of all sorts, grilled chiken breasts, and home made ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Amy is showing off some meat kabobs and some bread kabobs. Yummmmy!

There were meat kabobs, bread kabobs, veggie kabobs, chicken breasts with a peach/pineapple salsa, baked seasoned potatoes, grilled asparagus, and lots of seasonings and marinades.

There were sauces for basting the kabobs while they were on the grill.

The food was all prepared at Mom's house, then brought to our patio and the grill for the actual grilling. If we keep this kind of thing up, we're gonna need a 2nd grill!!!!

Jonah started the grilling process with the chicken breasts. And, yes, there was some wine that was introduced to the whole meal process. Just a bit.

Buddy had to join in the fun and hang out with Granny. He likes getting up on that ledge. I think it makes him feel taller!

Good food and good company!

So, we hung out while waiting for food to cook, talking and laughing and smelling all that good stuff cooking.

Amy is showing off one of the ice cream sandwiches. Jonah made the cookies and filled them with the ice cream. Great way to end that awesome meal!

Tomorrow is going to be a long, stressful day, so having this meal tonight, hanging out with my mom and the kiddos' is a great way to relax. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be living here and enjoying times like tonight. No matter how the day goes tomorrow, I have these awesome people to help me through the tough times. And to grill some kickbutt food, too!!!

I do have pics of Amber's bridal shower and the night out afterwords, but I had to post about tonights activities first! Ymmmm-yumm-yum!!!
