Great Grandma holding Parker, while he is wrapped in the blanket that she made for him. |
Great Grandma and I had to go do a home inspection on Parker today. I know that you will find it hard to believe, but we lasted a whole 5 days before we went and bothered, errrrrr, I mean, visited, him at home. It was quite obvious from his joyful excitement that he was ecstatic to see us! Or, well, maybe he just slept. But! I bet he was having wonderful dreams about us being there! I know that we were delighted to be able to see him. : )

Snuggling with his blankky. |
Candice mentioned several months ago that she would like some kind of a mural painted on the blank wall in the nursery. Mom mentioned my sis-in-law, Julie, who paints wonderfully awesome wall murals! It just so happened that Julie was coming to Amy's wedding, along with my niece, Megan, and my brother, Lee. While the rest of us worked at decorating for the wedding reception, Julie, all the way from Oregon, worked on painting that blank wall in the nursery. Parker's room is a Winnie the Pooh theme, and Candice had found a gift bag that had a picture on it that she liked. Julie replicated the picture on the wall! Megan helped out, so that it was done in the short time that they were here. It is fabulous! Parker loves it!!!! (He told me so!)

Remember the cradle? The cradle that my grandpa, my mom's dad, made for my kids when they were babies? There is Parker, sleeping in that cradle. He sleeps there every night right now, beside his parent's bed. He sure looks comfy, doesn't he??

Snoozing in the cradle. |

He looks so little! |
Parker did sleep, albeit happily!, the entire time that we were visiting him today. Such a wonderful, precious baby boy! His hair is looking pretty much on the red side of color. He got his fingernails clipped today. He has us talking about Christmas and "firsts" and all sorts of things. Amazing what a little, tiny fella can do, without even waking up!
Even the dogs at Parker's house have become entirely different creatures. Roscoe, the dachshund, will hardly leave his side. And Roscoe used to be a fairly annoying, barking, unfriendly dog. Not now! He is docile and friendly and is going to protect that little boy! The Great Danes, Roxy and Rifle, don't bark like they used to, don't jump up, are calmer, mellower..... it's amazing, the change in them. Again, amazing what that little fella can do without even waking up! Can hardly wait to see what he can do once he wakes up and takes on the world! : )
Once he wakes up he might never sleep again!

Psalms 27:1, 4-5 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?...One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

ReplyDeleteRevelation 21:1-4 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

ReplyDelete2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me. ReplyDeletePsalms 116:1-5 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
