Last Sunday, the boys were finally able to be confirmed at church. This was supposed to happen the weekend that Jordan was in the hospital with pneumonia. Jordan even got a hair cut for the occasion! Pastor Matt, Jonah, and Jordan on Confirmation day. |

A few of the wine bottles that we have painted to use as decorations at Chris and Amy's wedding. Honestly, we have NOT drunk all of that wine and such by ourselves! All kinds of friends and family and other folks have been giving us empty bottles to us. We have around 120 empty, painted bottles! : ) We did have to explain to the neighbors what we were doing! |

I don't know if I've mentioned this before or not, but Amy is literally making her flowers for the wedding. This is part of her bouquet. The flowers are made from pages from old hymnals and scrap booking paper. They are awesome! |

I love this!!!! This is what the brides maids will carry at the wedding. I have threatened to make myself a "set" of a necklace and matching earrings just like this to wear to the wedding! I'm only half kidding! hehee Again, hymnal pages and scrap book paper was used, and Amy made it! |
That was the activity agenda for last weekend. This weekend, I have a craft show to go to on Saturday. Sunday is a dress fitting for Amy and the local Great River Players play in the afternoon.
It's been a weird week here, but, we are talking about a week in the life of me, so I guess that's just not too unusual. I will probably jinx myself, but my car is running, my toe is healing, and I've managed to find not one piece of glass with my foot all week! No one is sick, no one is in the hospital, and we are on a final count down to summer vacation from school. Old Man River just keeps right on ramblin' by, while here on the banks, life is good. Adventuresome at times, but good. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! You've been busy! Everything looks amazing! How did you guys come up with the flowers made from hymnal pages?

ReplyDelete2 Samuel 22:2-3, 7 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. (7) In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
