Random-ness

Have you ever noticed how random your thoughts can be when you are not focusing them on a particular thing?  Maybe it's just me and my wacky thoughts that can be so random.  I don't know.  What I do know is that the I notice a variety of very random things on my ventures about town.  And that my thoughts can be about as random as they come, I'm sure!  Here's a sample..........

Down the street a ways there was a man painting a truck..... with a paintbrush.  He was parked on the side of the street, on a hill, and, even tho it was quite odd that he was painting his truck with a paintbrush and a can of paint, he did have a fella in a bright yellow vest standing in the road beside him.  I guess to let you know that there was activity in the road?  That whole event seemed odd to me, but who am I to think that having someone paint a truck with a paintbrush is odd.  I once drove a car that had been painted with cans of spray paint and had bullet holes in the trunk.  I didn't paint it, but I did drive it.

In case you were dying of curiosity, Taltos snores louder than Buddy and, as far as I can tell, Chester does not snore at all.

Two months from today is Amy and Chris's wedding.  2 months.  Whew.  There is a lot to do in 2 months.  As many painted wine bottles as we have stashed on my mom's back porch for the reception, you'd think we were either in the recycling business or massive alcoholics.   Colorful though, either way!

I really, really am wanting to go fishing.  Really.  Sittin' in the sunshine, on the banks of some water somewhere, fishing  (notice I didn't say "catching") sounds so wonderful to me!  I went fishing once, all by myself, when we lived up north.  I took my book and my pole and some tackle.  The nice DNR lady came along and checked my fishing license and asked me if I was having any luck.  I said that I hadn't caught any fish.  She wished me good luck on catching fish.  Oh No!!!!  I had to tell her that my line wasn't even baited... I was more reading than fishing and really had no intent of catching at all.  I'm pretty sure she thought I'd been drinking.  She didn't even laugh.  Just looked at me weird.  And left me to my reading and fishing without catching.  I had a perfectly lovely time not catching fish.

It's only Monday.  Geesh.  It feels like it should be Friday, like there should be another weekend right around the corner for me.  I've been tired since Jordan was in the hospital.  He's fine and dandy.  I feel like I will never be un-tired again!

I've got tons of sewing to do.  And I should be upstairs doing it!  I did get the curtains finished last weekend for the new grand baby's room.  : )  Got the mattress over here now for the cradle, so I can start making bedding items for it.  2 months until the wedding and about 3 months until baby time!  Gonna be an awesome summer!

I really am tired.  Heck, I slept off and on all of yesterday and had a heck of a headache.  And I'm still tired!  And, ya know what, I'm tired of being tired!  Tired of it, I tell ya!

I'm still using Jordan's computer.  Sigh.  It really is not the same using someone else's computer.  I miss my beat up old laptop.  With all of  MY stuff saved on it.  That "connection" just isn't there with this puter.  : )   It's much easier to blog and write and download pics and all sorts of stuff when I'm using my own puter.  Hopefully one of these days we will be reunited.

Now, I'm going to take my random, tired self off to the upstairs and visit with my sewing machine.  Not sure how much sewing will be accomplished, but perhaps we will have a lovely visit none the less!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You know, if any newcomers to your blog do not have inside information, it might appear a little suspicious to read " 2 months until the wedding and about 3 months until baby time!" Just thought I would mention that the new grandbaby is coming from Eric and not from Amy. haha

  2. Did I miss what happened to your laptop? Hope you can get enough sleep to knock all that tiredness outta ya!
Know that I'm praying so at this end!
Revelation 7:16-17 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
