That picture up there isn't as easy to read as it should be. Eric and Amy both have LIVE tattoos. Eric has a couple of tats, with a large deer head on his back. Amy has become the tat queen of our family. I think she's up to 4 of them now, with only the one on the top of her foot being visible. She got her first one on a trip to Hawaii. When Mom, Amber, Eric, and Amy all took a trip to Oregon, all 3 of those kids got tats!

That's Eric's LIVE, Amy's star and Amber's heart. Amy's LIVE on her side is in the same font as Eric's. They seem to get braver about getting permanently decorated when they are far away from home!
What a lot of you may not know is that I have tattoo's too! I have 4 of them, actually. I didn't go away on a trip to get them, but I did go on a journey. My tattoos are placement tattoos from when I had radiation for breast cancer treament. I have those tattoos... just little black dots, as permanently a part of me, so that, should I ever have to have any radiation again, people who know about such things would be able to tell where I have had prior radiation treatments. They aren't something I dwell on much anymore. I'm glad that they are there, though.
Those LIVE tattoos, and that heart tattoo, became a permanent part of my children after I was done with my cancer treatments. My tattoos signal that I successfully completed my cancer treatments. They don't spell out LIVE, but they say that to me. In fact, they scream it out loud!! They shout.... Get out there, LIVE, enjoy, laugh, go fishing, have fun, find peace, be generous, be happy... be Dawn.
Some days I do those things well. Some days I don't. Sometimes it takes a tattoo on my child to remind me what I need to do.
LIVE
I have kids with tattoos...I don't get it...have had enough needles poking me, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteStopping by to let you know I'm still praying!
Psalms 55:16-18 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
