Ahhhhh.... tis Friday. I had what is, unfortunately, becomming my normal Friday routine. Get up, look down a child's throat, call the school, call the doctor, go to work all morning, come home, take a child to the doctor, watch the strep test strip turn red, watch the doctor write out a prescription, go to the pharmacy, get meds, come home and spend the rest of the day consoling boys who are upset because their weekend plans have once again been ruined, due to strep. Sounds thrilling, right??!!! Not really. Poor Jonah. We are to the point with him now that we are to go back as soon as the current round of meds is done to have him tested again. If he is still having issues, and still has tonsils the size of Rhode Island, then we will be off to visit an ENT and probably schedule to get those nasty tonsils out!
Actually, this weekend the boys were having a hard time deciding whether to stay here for the weekend or not. I can't tell you exactly what it is yet, but we are doing something pretty darn special here tomorrow! I'm stoked! And, I will tell you allll about it, with pics!, probably on Sunday. Until then, I just can't let the cat out of the bag! : )
It was snowing when I got up this morning. I didn't let it faze me. I didn't let the strep throat thing get to me too badly, either! I'm doing my very best to stave off stress. By dancing in the kitchen. Singing,( lyrics appear on FB now and then!) Got my sewing machine out the other day and did a bit of creativity. I have lots to do for tomorrow! : ) I like my job, love my family and friends! and am enjoying most parts of life. And that is a good thing.
So, now I'm off to sing and dance and clean and cook and enjoy a Friday evening at home, strep be darned!!!!
Oh I hope whatever went on today was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAlways a comfort being reminded that the Holy Spirit Himself is praying for you!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
